Welcome to the Men's Section at Waterlooville Golf Club

I am honoured to be Club Captain at one of the friendliest clubs in the South and we’re always excited to meet new members, no matter your age or skill level. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just starting out, you'll feel right at home with us! We operate a ball chute system so there is no need to book a tee time, you can play with your friends or join some of the many roll ups we have during the week and weekend.

Our men’s section offers many ways to enjoy this great and frustrating game. We have regular roll-ups on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. These are perfect opportunities to play some relaxed social golf, meet other members, and enjoy plenty of light-hearted banter back at the clubhouse. The fun doesn't stop on the course – the 19th hole is always buzzing with laughter and great conversation!

The men's competitions run throughout the golfing season, mainly at the weekends, and we also have teams competing in various cups, as well as having friendly matches against local clubs. For our senior male members, we have a lively and active Seniors Group led by our Seniors Captain Steve Cripps. They regularly play social rounds, take part in dedicated senior competitions, enjoy friendly matches with local clubs, and again have roll ups during the week. It’s a great way to stay active, socialise, and keep your game sharp!

Our ladies are led by our current Captain Anne Corner and the section is very friendly and new ladies, whatever their ability, are always made to feel welcome. The section runs competitions throughout the year on Tuesdays and Sundays, enter teams in some local cups, and has several friendly matches against ladies from local clubs. In addition, there are many team and fun competitions throughout the year, so there is something for everyone. There is also a lady vets section that have their own competitions and meet ups throughout the year.

In addition, there are a number of mixed serious and fun competitions, as well as friendly mixed matches against local clubs because as a club we feel it is right to ensure that all who play this challenging game can access it in whatever format they prefer.

After golf, we have a calendar of social events ranging from Quiz nights to formal balls so there is something for everyone to get involved.

I look forward to meeting you and hope you get to enjoy our wonderful club.

Happy golfing

Mike Bird
