Ladies Section

I am honoured to have been chosen to be the ladies' captain this year and I am looking forward to an exciting year enjoying this wonderful sport.

Our ladies' section is very friendly and new ladies, whatever their ability, are always made to feel welcome. We have golf for everyone. We compete each year in the Stoneham Cup and the Hayling Trophy, and our track record in both is very good. We also have a number of friendly matches against ladies from other clubs, and for the less serious golfer, we have lots of team competitions and fun competitions during the year.

I would love to meet you if you are interested in joining Waterlooville and I am confident that I can show you what a great club we are.

Ladies are welcome on the course any day and time of the week (subject to reserved tournaments), but we do have our 'special' days when we usually gather, play our competitions, and socialise.

Tuesday mornings

We tend to tee-off in pairs (occasionally threes) on a Tuesday morning usually between 8 am and about 10.30am. There is no strict guidelines to these times, it's simply what suits your individual lifestyle!

We have competitions designated for most Tuesdays ranging from fun team competitions to more testing individual medal and cup competitions.

Sunday afternoons

Sundays are very popular for our Trophy competitions and it means that all our working ladies do not miss out. We have designated competition times which are between 11.30 and 1.00 in the winter; and 12.00 to 1.30 in the summer.

Wednesday Mornings

Also very popular are our 9-hole Fun Competitions, organised by the Lady Vets Captain,  once a month on a Wednesday Morning.

Meeting and joining in

When you join, you will be able to access the online diary through the ClubV1 Members App/Hub that provides a list of all the members names, phone numbers and email addresses, so that you can personally book a game. In addition, every Tuesday ladies review their diaries over lunch, to arrange further games, and ensure that any new ladies are included.

Alternatively, on a Sunday we have a time-sheet where you can simply add your name alongside a couple of other players or organise your own three-ball playing partners.

Also throughout the year we have many drawn competitions, so you can meet and play with different ladies.
